Highway Sign Installer

About the role

The Highway Sign Installer plays a crucial role in the maintenance and installation of roadway signs, traffic signs, and pavement markings across various roadways. This position involves a range of responsibilities including transportation of materials, cutting materials to size, assembling and installing signs, setting up traffic control, and adhering to relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• Transport materials, tools, and equipment to/from installation sites
• Cut materials to specified sizes for installation using power tools
• Assemble and install signs adjacent to high-volume roadways using pneumatic tools and equipment
• Ensure signs are placed in proper locations
• Drive a vehicle properly and safely
• Operate tools properly and safely
• Set up traffic control if required
• Safely lift, move, or carry objects weighing 50 lbs.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of highway sign installation or related industry experience
• MOT Advanced certification preferred

Qualifications

• Valid and clean drivers' license
• Highway sign assembly and installation experience preferred
