About the Role

Parsons' Massachusetts Civil Infrastructure team is seeking a Highway Project Manager to oversee and manage overall engineering and design on both conventional and design-build roadway projects. This role involves leading the civil design team's technical deliverables, meeting project schedules from design through construction, and ensuring the highest quality of engineering to meet all design criteria. The position also requires active involvement in identifying new business, participating in the proposal process, and maintaining technical hands-on engagement throughout project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage overall engineering and design on conventional and design-build road and highway projects
  • Lead the civil design team's technical deliverables and ensure project schedules are met from design through construction
  • Ensure highest quality engineering to meet all design criteria requirements
  • Identify new business opportunities and participate in the proposal process
  • Maintain technical involvement throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Cultivate client relationships and represent the firm in front of clients
  • Develop comprehensive solutions for roadway challenges
  • Lead and expand the business while managing projects

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or related technical/business field
  • At least 15+ years of design and project management delivery experience on heavy transportation infrastructure projects
  • Experience meeting operations business goals, client management, win strategies, and bid preparation
  • Proven track record of successful delivery for road/highway projects according to MassDOT standards, including both conventional and design/build project execution
  • Experience working in the Massachusetts transportation markets
  • Massachusetts Professional Engineer (PE) license required

Skills and Competencies

  • Must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements
  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
  • Knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on projects

Pay

$125,100.00 - $225,200.00
