About the role
The Ohio State Highway Patrol Cadet program prepares individuals to become Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers. Cadets will reside at the academy Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Learn and enforce state and federal laws related to highway patrol
- Provide assistance to the public during emergencies
- Operate police vehicles and equipment safely
- Participate in training exercises and physical fitness activities
Requirements
- United States Citizen
- 20 to 39 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers License (Ohio residency must be established prior to commission)
