Highway Foreman 2

Description of Work

Crew Supervision: Lead a team performing highway maintenance tasks and ensure work is completed to expected standards
Project Planning: Organize daily and long term maintenance work to support safe and efficient travel conditions
Equipment Oversight: Monitor proper use of tools, heavy equipment, and vehicles during maintenance activities
Safety Leadership: Promote safe work practices and respond quickly to incidents or environmental hazards
Complaint Response: Review roadway concerns, investigate issues, and determine appropriate maintenance actions
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate reports of field activities, incidents, and maintenance needs

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Highway Foreman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years of experience in the performance of lead work or skilled tradesman duties on a highway maintenance or construction project; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Special Requirements: You must be in possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.
• Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
