About the role
The Town of Hartford, Vermont is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Highway Equipment Operator 1.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks and other highway equipment.
- Plow, salt, and sand roads in winter.
- Assist in general highway maintenance and construction work in other seasons.
- Focus on operation of basic to moderately complex trucks and equipment.
- Perform manual labor as needed.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and experience providing comparable knowledge and skills.
- Possess a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tank Endorsement, or be able to obtain within 1 year of employment.

Schedule
