Highway Entry Level Engineer CM

Responsibilities

• Field work
• Traffic engineering and analysis of roadways
• Design and layout of project components in 2D and 3D
• Preparing construction drawings and documents
• Field observation for adherence to construction plans and specifications
• Report writing and cost estimating

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program or an approved equivalent

Skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Microstation, Inroads, AutoTurn, Synchro, Vissim and GIS software (a plus)

• Albany, NY and Syracuse, NY: $31.50/hour - $39/hour
• Poughkeepsie, NY: $32/hour - $41/hour
• Westchester – White Plains, NY: $32.50/hour - $45/hour

About This Position

We are seeking Junior Engineers (0-2 years of experience) to complement existing engineering staff in our Highway group. Typical projects include highway design, long range transportation planning, and traffic impact studies. Engineers I/II evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional types of plans, investigations, or surveys with relatively few complex features under the general guidance of a Project Engineer or Project Manager.
