About the role
GM2 is seeking a full-time Highway/Civil Project Engineer(s)/Project Manager(s) to join their team in Glastonbury, CT.
Responsibilities
- Work on some of CT’s most complex roadway projects
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior team or project members
- Adhere strictly to QA/QC procedures
- Manage CTDOT design projects (preferred)
- Use Bentley Microstation / OpenRoads/SUDA, AutoCAD, Blubeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Handle roadway design with drainage and modeling
- Prepare technical writeups for design proposals
- Lead project management efforts
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 4-15 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferred in Connecticut
- Experience with design-build projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Min 4-15 years of relevant experience
- PE License, preferably in Connecticut
- Previous experience with CTDOT design projects
- Experience with Bentley Microstation / OpenRoads/SUDA, AutoCAD, Blubeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Roadway design with drainage and modeling experience
- Experience preparing technical writeups for design proposals
- Leadership and project management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering principles
- Proficiency in design software (Bentley Microstation / OpenRoads/SUDA, AutoCAD, Blubeam)
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
