Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple projects serving as the Project Manager, Technical Lead, and Engineer of Record for civil roadway/highway projects.
- Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on time delivery, technical quality, and within budget.
- Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors.
- Serve as the project’s point of contact with clients, agencies, and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers.
- Review the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
- Manage and monitor schedule and budget performance of assigned projects.
Requirements
- Experience with roadway design, grading and drainage design, utility design, construction staging and MPT, and cost estimating.
- Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
- Project coordination and management experience with the ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of project document production.
- Experience with preparing proposal documentation including scope and fee.
- Working knowledge of NYSDOT projects, standards, and guidelines required.
- Working knowledge of the permit and approval process with the following clients preferred: PANYNJ, Metro North Railroad, LIRR, TBTA, NYCT, NYC DDC/EDC/DEP/DOB/DOT, Private Real Estate Developers.
- Working knowledge of coordination with State and City Agencies for project permits and approvals.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex topics and lead a team of junior designers.
- Ability to collaborate and participate in project team settings to engage in creative and critical thinking.
- Demonstrated creativity, foresight, and advanced engineering judgement in anticipating and solving problems.
- Strong organization and coordination skills.
- Strong presentation and interview skills.
- Strong proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil3D recommended.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- 10+ Years of Engineering experience.

Pay
$134,900.00 - $202,500.00 Annually
