About the role

The Internship Program at Kokosing is designed to provide practical construction experience that supplements your education while earning a paycheck. This hands-on opportunity allows you to expand your knowledge of the construction industry through direct project involvement.

Specializations

• Carpentry – Work in the form shop to create concrete forms and other items used on construction projects.
• Welding – Repair heavy equipment and fabricate pieces for heavy highway, bridge, and structural construction.
• Auto/Equipment Mechanics – Maintain and repair company vehicles and specialized construction equipment.
• Mid-sized Equipment/Electrical – Repaint small construction equipment such as generators and pumps.
• Supply Department – Provide tools, supplies, and resources to field operations.
• Yard – Pull, organize, and fill orders to be shipped to projects.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside full-time employees who provide guidance and training on various tasks.
• Take on specific project responsibilities and contribute directly to project completion.
• Experience daily activities that demonstrate applicable processes and management methods.
• Receive structured work assignments with increasing challenges based on your abilities.
• Engage in a variety of situations to develop technically, broaden your practical background, and explore your interests.
