Higher Education Sales Consultant - Orlando, FL

About the role

Kendall Hunt Publishing is seeking a driven Acquisitions Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will live or be willing to relocate to Orlando, FL and will travel seven weeks per semester, alternating between working from home and spending a full week on college campuses.

Responsibilities

• Build lasting partnerships with college professors by interviewing and listening for business potential.
• Persuade select professors to work with Kendall Hunt Publishing by presenting the benefits of becoming a Kendall Hunt author.
• Identify and pursue business opportunities by calling and traveling to different colleges and universities in your territory.
• Interview professors to understand their needs and how Kendall Hunt Publishing’s products can meet those needs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with authors to ensure they are engaged and committed to producing high-quality content.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Bachelor's degree.

• Proficiency in managing responsibilities that require substantial independent work while also engaging in team collaboration.
• Experience spending time on college campuses.

Schedule
