High Voltage Lineman

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate manpower or material needs to project managers.
• Erect and replace poles; perform rigging on high voltage equipment such as transformers, capacitor banks, group-operated switches, etc.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate equipment such as bucket trucks and line trucks.
• Compliance with all DOT regulations and requirements for CDL drivers.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years' experience as a lineman.
• A valid driver's license and valid CDL required for travel to job sites and equipment operation.
• Must be able to operate lifts and bucket trucks.
• Able to respond to after-hours emergencies or other time-sensitive incidents.
• Moderate noise levels exposure.
• Exposure to atmospheric conditions such as extreme cold, heat, humidity, and various weather conditions.
• Employee may be exposed to lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Must be able to navigate construction sites consisting of uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights.
