High School Visual Arts or Music Electives - Online (.14 FTE)

About the role

SouthWest Metro Intermediate District #288 has an immediate part‑time (.14 FTE) opening for a remote, asynchronous High School Visual Arts or Music Electives Teacher in the Elevate Online program. The position serves students from 11 member and 8 associate member districts across the southwestern Twin Cities metro area. Contract length is 185 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide support by working directly with students in their asynchronous classes.
• Work 1:1 with students to answer questions and provide alternative assignments when needed.
• Grade and assess student work.
• Maintain high levels of communication with students and guardians.
• Use provided class curriculum.
• Fully remote teaching position.

Qualifications

• Minnesota Teaching License for High School Level.
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $7,840‑14,420 based on education and experience.
