High School Spanish Teacher

About the Role

Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, NJ, is seeking a full-time High School Spanish Teacher for grades 9-12 to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that inspires students to succeed.

This is an in-person position; candidates must be able to commute to Scotch Plains, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Utilize innovative teaching techniques to actively engage students in the learning process
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere
• Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their academic progress
• Prepare students for standardized testing and assessments
• Incorporate learning technology and educational resources to enrich student learning experiences
• Support students' academic and personal growth through mentorship and guidance
• Support school policies, programs, and administrative procedures
• Participate in ongoing professional development in 21st-century skills and educational technology

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
• Proficiency in proofreading and editing educational materials
• Experience working with high school students in an educational setting
• Ability to commute to Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 (required)
• Ability to relocate to Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 before starting work (required)

Pay

The salary range for this full-time position is $45,000 to $60,000.
