The San Juan Unified School District is seeking a full-time teacher for multiple sites. This position is open until filled and applications are accepted weekly.
About the role
This position is located at Encina and is part of the permanent staff. Candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5; for external candidates, Column 4 is the maximum incoming placement.
Responsibilities
- Teach students according to curriculum guidelines
- Develop lesson plans and assessments
- Provide individualized attention to students
- Maintain classroom discipline and safety
- Participate in professional development activities
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents
Requirements
- Valid California teaching credential
- Experience teaching in a K-8 setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Master's degree in education or related field
- Advanced degree in relevant field (up to $3,000 stipend)

Pay
$60,000 - $126,000 annually, with additional stipends based on position and qualifications.
Schedule
Length of work year: 10 months/year, 186 days/year, 5 days/week, Professional Work Day.
