Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons and a dynamic learning environment while fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Spanish language instruction to students
  • Incorporate cultural activities and resources to enhance language learning and promote an appreciation of Spanish-speaking cultures
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles
  • Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, Linguistics, or a related field
  • Master’s degree is a plus
  • Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan for secondary education with an endorsement in the subject
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities
