High School Spanish Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Instruction: Develop students' bilingual skills, cultural awareness, and prepare them for AP and college-level coursework through engaging lessons in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in Spanish. Use diverse instructional strategies to foster a safe environment for language expression.
  • Data Analysis: Collaborate with leadership to analyze student work and assessments, implementing differentiated instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
  • School Culture: Build positive relationships with students and families, participate in professional development, and contribute to a collaborative school community focused on student achievement and core values.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Commitment to supporting students' social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Enthusiasm for collaboration and community engagement
  • Self-motivated learner who uses feedback for continuous improvement
  • Interest in impacting urban K-12 students; 1-2 years preferred
  • Expertise in Spanish or related field; bachelor's degree required
  • Eligible for state certification within a reasonable timeframe
