High School Social Studies Teacher

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site High School Social Studies Teacher role located in Huntersville, NC. The teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging instruction in Social Studies courses, which may include World History and related subjects, aligned with school and state standards.

Qualifications

• Strong subject-matter expertise in Social Studies and World History, with the ability to teach a range of high school social studies courses
• Curriculum Development and Education skills to design standards-aligned lessons, units, and assessments that support college and career readiness
• Effective Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues, including clear instruction and professional collaboration
• Relevant bachelor's degree in Education, History, Social Studies, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
• Valid or eligible North Carolina teaching license in Social Studies (or equivalent state certification with reciprocity)
• Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom and support diverse learners
• Proficiency with educational technology and digital resources to enhance instruction and student engagement
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth, ethical practices, and alignment with the school's college-preparatory and leadership-focused mission
