High School Social Studies Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
• Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
• Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Tennessee teaching license in 6-12 Social Studies OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
• Strong content and classroom management skills
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to high expectations and academic achievement for all students
• Willingness to accept feedback, coaching, and continuous growth
• Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus
• Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially

Pay

Salary Scale based on education and experience - starting at $50,000.00. Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan.
