High School Science Teacher
About the role
The Keystone Live Instruction Teacher is a state certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. The Science Teacher is also a state certified educator, focusing specifically on science courses.
Responsibilities
- Provide live instruction, support, and guidance to students
- Manage the learning process and focus on students' individual needs
- Monitor student progress through Stride's learning management system
- Work actively with students, parents, and associated schools to support each student's educational experience
- Assess students per policy
- Organize orientation, training, social, and educational activities for students and families
- Create a monthly newsletter or updated website as needed
- Lead student/parent orientations, as needed
- Communicate with students regularly via email or phone
- Participate in academic-focused meetings with associated school administrators
- Attend regularly scheduled virtual staff meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree AND one (1) year industry experience leading to certification OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Appropriate subject teaching certification

Qualifications

- Strong content and subject-matter knowledge
- An ability to support and guide both adults and students
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
- A willingness and ability to obtain additional state licensing as required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office; web proficiency
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Ability to pass required background check
