About the role
The successful candidate will meet and instruct assigned classes in designated locations and times, plan a program of study meeting individual student needs, and guide the learning process towards achieving district curriculum goals.
Responsibilities
- Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning
- Employs various instructional techniques and media
- Assesses student accomplishments and provides progress reports
- Maintains accurate records and evaluates classroom assignments
- Diagnoses learning challenges and seeks specialist assistance
- Maintains a positive and professional work environment
- Participates in professional development and contractually approved evaluation process
- Attends school-sponsored activities and contributes to district and building decisions
Requirements
- Highly qualified with appropriate content/program area educator license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- Bachelor's Degree with appropriate license; Master's Degree with appropriate content area license preferred and expected within 5 years
Qualifications
- Appropriate content/program area educator license (Physics)
- Grade level (5-8) licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- Bachelor's Degree with appropriate license; Master's Degree with appropriate content area license preferred and expected within 5 years
