The Keystone Live Instruction Teacher position at Stride K12, a Stride Company, is a part-time role that likely pays $17-$20/hour. This position is virtual and open to residents of the 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment
• Provide live instruction, support, and guidance
• Manage the learning process and focus on students' individual needs
• Monitor student progress through Stride's learning management system
• Work actively with students, parents, and associated school to support each student's educational experience
• Organize orientation, training, social, and educational activities for students and families
• Assess students per policy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree AND One (1) year industry experience leading to certification OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Appropriate subject teaching certification
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties
• Experience as an online learner
• Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
• Experience teaching in a virtual setting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree AND One (1) year industry experience leading to certification OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Appropriate subject teaching certification
• Shared view of the virtual academy’s mission
• Strong content and subject-matter knowledge
• An ability to support and guide adults as well as students
• Excellent knowledge of motivational techniques
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness and ability to obtain additional state licensing as required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office; Web proficiency
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Ability to pass required background check
