High School Campus Supervisor (26-27)

Alpha Public Schools is a free, TK-12 public charter school system in East San José, founded by local families to provide stronger academics and holistic support for children. Our network of four schools serves approximately 1,900 scholars, fostering safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environments to prepare students for college and career success.

About the role

A successful Alpha team member believes that ALL students are capable of success, upholds high expectations, and fosters the intellectual and social development of scholars. The Campus Supervisor will approach campus supervision with patience, an asset-based mindset, and restorative practices. The hourly rate for this role is $27.50.

Responsibilities

• Support school-wide systems, structures, and rules to help students and staff meet expectations
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment in non-classroom areas, including the parking lot and grounds
• Assist school leaders with restorative justice practices, such as circles and conflict mediation
• Execute day-to-day Campus Supervisor duties:
  • Support DeansList administration and manage low-incident referrals
  • Monitor restrooms throughout the day
  • Assist with lunch supervision and oversee lunch detention
  • Ensure smooth student traffic flow in hallways and assist with on-time arrivals
  • Support after-school student needs and weekly event organization
• Maintain a healthy and safe school environment alongside school leaders and staff
• Monitor campus physical safety by locking/unlocking doors and gates, and responding to teacher messages about behavior support needs
• Assist with visitor management, campus attendance, and emergency plans as needed
• Support staff, police, and emergency personnel during emergencies or disruptive situations; alert emergency services when necessary
• Write and submit incident reports to school leaders as appropriate

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional experience
• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Work experience in education (highly preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish (highly preferred)
• CPR and First Aid Certification (highly preferred)
