About the role
Provides direct patient care in a high-risk cardiac unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Promotes patient and family-centered care
- Educates patients and families on illness management
- Participates in safety and quality improvement activities
- Develops and documents individualized care plans
- Assesses physical and psychosocial needs of patients
- Ensures effective communication across care teams
Requirements
- Nursing diploma or associate's degree
- Active RN license
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Preferred: Less than 2 years of nursing experience
- Advantageous: Cardiac/Telemetry and Med/Surg experience
