High Needs Intensive Special Education Paraprofessional (Grades 9-12)

Dawson County High School is seeking a dependable and student-focused High Needs Intensive Special Education Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in the classroom.This role includes supporting students with a range of academic and behavioral needs, including providing guidance, structure, and support during challenging moments. What You'll Do Assist teachers with preparing and delivering instructional materials and activitiesSupport implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher directionProvide intensive instructional, behavioral, and safety support for a student whose Individualized Education Program (IEP), Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), health plan, or unique educational needs require dedicated adult assistance.Support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs under the direction of certified staffAssist with behavior support strategies and help maintain a safe, structured environmentDistribute and organize classroom supplies and instructional resourcesMaintain records and assist with grading and reportsHelp keep the classroom neat, organized, and engagingMonitor and report any student safety concerns This position works closely with the educational team to support student learning, safety, and participation throughout the school day.
