About the role
Responsible for managing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring food quality and customer satisfaction. Overseeing staff, preparing menus, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen staff and ensure they are trained and performing at optimal levels.
- Develop and implement new menu items based on customer feedback and trends.
- Oversee inventory management to minimize waste and ensure availability of ingredients.
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet overall restaurant goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to manage a team and lead by example.
- Strong knowledge of food service operations and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with budgeting and cost control.
- Knowledge of food service equipment and supplies.
