HHA - Home Health Aide

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Home Health Aide (HHA) to reliably serve patients in Luzerne and Lackawanna counties. As a member of our personal care and companionship team, you will support clients one-on-one with activities of daily living, helping adults stay safe and independent at home while following a written plan of care by a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Assist with household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding
• Support range of motion exercises
• Assist with ambulation, including transfers and use of mechanical lifting devices
• Provide medication reminders
• Develop close relationships with clients while delivering compassionate, reliable care

Requirements

• Previous home health care or patient care experience welcomed, but not required (training provided)
• Passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
• Commitment to being present and providing quality care
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned
• Commitment to delivering patient care with compassion, excellence, and reliability
