Hershey's Part-Time Territory Sales Associate (Waco, TX)

About the role

This is a remote, part-time Territory Sales Associate position based in Waco, TX. Candidates must reside in or be willing to commute to the specified territory zip codes. The role involves traveling to store locations within the assigned territory, driving approximately 55 miles per day in a personal vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed at 62 cents per mile, though no car allowance is provided.

As a Territory Sales Associate, you will represent Hershey’s brands, selling and ensuring best-in-class merchandising, including building displays, increasing distribution of top-selling items, and replenishing permanent secondary displays.

Schedule

This is a “Continuous Part-Time” role requiring 20-25 hours per week. Workdays should overlap core hours of 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, unless business needs require otherwise. On average, you will visit 6-10+ accounts per day, with flexibility based on personal and territory needs.

Pay

This position offers an hourly starting rate of $15.50 - $17.50 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and geographic location.

Responsibilities

• Sell and maintain 100% distribution of all “authorized” Hershey items in the assigned territory.
• Ensure flawless retail execution of Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans (Retail Execution Plan) with various retailers.
• Achieve all merchandising objectives through the effective use of Permanent Secondary Displays and other display vehicles.
• Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions, and all administrative functions within the assigned territory.
• Submit daily activities through the use of tablets upon completion of each day.
• Manage a sales territory that varies in size, number of retailers, and location.

Requirements

• Valid US state-issued driver’s license.
• Personal vehicle in sound operating condition, with minimum auto insurance coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage, permitting business use.
• Must reside or be willing to commute within the specified territory boundaries.
• Ability to drive long distances and make multiple sales calls daily.
• Ability to lift 10-40 lbs. regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and demonstrate manual dexterity frequently, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Proficiency in using tablet technology.
• Daily access to wireless internet.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage.
• Availability to work 20-25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3-4 years of food merchandising experience is preferred but not required.
