Hepatologist for Veterans Health

Role Overview: Responsible for leading and providing high-quality interdisciplinary care within a large, complex health system. Collaborates with a team of MDs, midlevel providers, and support staff to advance Gastroenterology and Hepatology services. Key Responsibilities Conduct outpatient clinics primarily focused on Hepatology, managing an initial caseload of around 6 patients per clinic.Participate in administrative, educational, and research activities if interested, dedicating half a day weekly.Provide inpatient consults and call coverage, managing approximately 4-8 patients daily alongside residents and fellows.Work collaboratively with hospitalist team responsible for admissions and discharges, with reduced clinic and lab duties on inpatient days. Qualifications & Skills Expertise in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills.Ability to manage outpatient and inpatient caseloads effectively.Interest in administrative, educational, or research pursuits is a plus. Work Environment: Monday through Friday, with a balanced schedule including patient care, administrative duties, and consult coverage, within a supportive team dedicated to exceptional patient and family care for those who served.
