About the role

The Director of Sports will oversee all facets of the sports programs, including youth and adult initiatives, under the direction of the Associate Executive Director. This role involves program development, marketing, staff supervision, financial management, and community relationship-building to align with Center and Association goals. The Director will serve as a First Responder in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and control designated budgets, ensuring income targets and expense control in consultation with the Associate Executive Director.
• Oversee the selection, training, and supervision of department staff and volunteers.
• Interpret Association goals, objectives, and policies to the community and constituency.
• Evaluate programs and recommend changes to align with Center and Association goals.
• Develop new programs and ensure their successful implementation.
• Share responsibilities for Center supervision, public relations, planning, and promotions.
• Support the international aspect of the Association, including World Service education and fundraising.
• Manage performance and oversee the annual evaluation process for direct reports and departmental staff.
• Contribute to income generation through membership fees and special subsidies.
• Assist and participate in the Annual Campaign.
• Schedule department facilities to ensure equitable usage.
• Direct and organize department program activities and prepare reports as assigned.
• Assist with additional projects or activities as needed.
