Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients during the intake process.
- Answer phone lines for incoming patient communications.
- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details.
- Schedule initial appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers.
- Ensure all required forms and documentation are completed accurately.
- Update and maintain patient records in AthenaOne.
- Collaborate with other administrative and clinical staff to ensure a smooth intake process.
- Perform eligibility and benefits verification and coordination on a rotating basis.
- Performing additional tasks, duties, and assignments as specified by your supervisor.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- A minimum of 1 year of healthcare industry experience.
- Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills.
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor.
- Proficient in the use of a PC; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledgeable in the use of EMR systems such as AthenaOne.
- Ability to adhere to strict attendance and punctuality expectations.
- Ability to identify and proactively solve problems.
