Hemodialysis Registered Nurse

About the role

NaphCare is seeking an experienced Hemodialysis RN to join their team at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institute in Torrington, WY.

Responsibilities

• Provide hemodialysis treatments to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assess patient needs and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as necessary.

Requirements

• Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within WY.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Hemodialysis Staff RN in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or other relevant certifications may be preferred.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association required).
• Strong clinical assessment, IV insertion, medication administration, and emergency response skills.
• Understanding of renal physiology, the causes and progression of kidney disease, and the principles of hemodialysis.
• Previous experience working in a correctional facility, familiarity with security protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association required).
• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening.
• Must adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
