About the role
NaphCare is seeking an experienced Hemodialysis RN to join their team at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institute in Torrington, WY.
Responsibilities
- Provide hemodialysis treatments to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Assess patient needs and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as necessary.
Requirements
- Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within WY.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Hemodialysis Staff RN in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred.
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or other relevant certifications may be preferred.
- Active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association required).
- Strong clinical assessment, IV insertion, medication administration, and emergency response skills.
- Understanding of renal physiology, the causes and progression of kidney disease, and the principles of hemodialysis.
- Previous experience working in a correctional facility, familiarity with security protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association required).
- Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening.
- Must adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Skills
