About the role
Seeking an experienced MD for outpatient hematology and oncology coverage in a regional cancer center.
Responsibilities
- Manage adult outpatient hematology and oncology patients
- Evaluate and treat conditions
- Perform bone marrow biopsies if needed
- Provide on-site care
- Participate in call rotations on a 1:4 rotation, including one weekend per month
Work Schedule
- Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Call duties on a 1:4 rotation, including one weekend per month
Patient Load
Manage approximately 10-15 patients daily.
Team
Collaborate with physicians and two advanced practice providers in a supportive clinical environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Board certification in relevant specialty
- Experience with outpatient hematology and oncology care
- Ability to perform bone marrow biopsies
- Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
Key Duties
- Provide specialized adult outpatient hematology and oncology services
- Manage patient cases
- Participate in call rotations to ensure comprehensive coverage in a clinical setting
