About the role
Outpatient physician specializing in hematology, providing clinic coverage in a busy healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- See 12-15 patients daily
- Perform outpatient evaluations
- Participate in phone consultations
- Bone marrow biopsies are handled by interventional radiology
- No acute leukemia cases are included
- Position offers ongoing coverage potential, ideally 2+ weeks per month
- Provide comprehensive hematology care
- Collaborate with radiology for biopsies
- Ensure smooth clinic operations
- Online documentation
- Adherence to clinical standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Hospital privileges are required
- Must be comfortable working in an outpatient clinic environment
- Strong communication skills for phone call participation
- Prior experience in hematology preferred
