Hem/oncology (APRN / PA)
Northwell Health, formerly known as Nuvance Health, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Danbury, Connecticut.
About the role
The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with mostly outpatient coverage. No evenings, weekends, or call.
The ideal candidate will join a dedicated and collegial team within a long-established, busy practice that includes seven physicians and four advanced practitioners. The practice is based in Praxair Cancer Center within the Danbury Hospital Campus and offers multidisciplinary cancer care, collaborating with Surgical and Medical Subspecialties, Radiation Oncology, and Palliative Care. Additional services include Diagnostic Imaging, Cancer Genetics, Radiation Therapy, Cancer Research and Trials, and Psychological and Social Support Services.
The role involves seeing a broad spectrum of Hematology/Oncology patients in both office and hospital settings.
Requirements
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Previous Hematology/Oncology experience
- Completion of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant training
- State of Connecticut license
- Federal DEA and Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration
