HELPER/CASHIER

Monday through Friday – 8:45am - 1:15pm (4.5 hrs./day, 22.5 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Operate the school cafeteria, encouraging maximum student participation with positive customer service
• Adhere to local, State, and federal regulations regarding School Food Service and the Child Nutrition Program
• Prepare and handle foods safely, maintaining high standards in nutrition, food flavor, appearance, and presentation
• Perform meal preparation, serving line setup, receiving, cleaning, and sanitizing of dishes, equipment, and facilities
• Serve food, assist with record keeping, and perform cashiering duties
• Communicate effectively with food service staff, food service director, school faculty, administration, and students
• Attend training as required
• Maintain a high level of personal and professional integrity in the performance of duties
• Accomplish all tasks in a manner that promotes excellent customer service

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
