Monday through Friday – 8:45am - 1:15pm (4.5 hrs./day, 22.5 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Operate the school cafeteria, encouraging maximum student participation with positive customer service
- Adhere to local, State, and federal regulations regarding School Food Service and the Child Nutrition Program
- Prepare and handle foods safely, maintaining high standards in nutrition, food flavor, appearance, and presentation
- Perform meal preparation, serving line setup, receiving, cleaning, and sanitizing of dishes, equipment, and facilities
- Serve food, assist with record keeping, and perform cashiering duties
- Communicate effectively with food service staff, food service director, school faculty, administration, and students
- Attend training as required
- Maintain a high level of personal and professional integrity in the performance of duties
- Accomplish all tasks in a manner that promotes excellent customer service
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
