Schedule
3.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 10:00 am–1:30 pm
Responsibilities
- Ensure the successful operation of the school cafeteria by encouraging maximum student participation with positive customer service
- Adhere to local, State, and federal regulations regarding School Food Service and the Child Nutrition Program
- Prepare and handle food safely, optimizing and maintaining high standards in nutrition, food flavor, appearance, and presentation
- Perform meal preparation, serving line setup, receiving, cleaning, and sanitizing of dishes, equipment, and facilities
- Serve food, assist with record keeping, and perform cashiering duties
- Communicate effectively with food service staff, food service director, school faculty, administration, and students
- Attend training as required
- Display a high level of personal and professional integrity in the performance of duties
- Accomplish all tasks in a manner that promotes excellent customer service
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
