About the role
The Help Desk Specialist will serve as the initial point of contact for users, gathering and analyzing information about their issues to provide basic support for installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze information about user’s issues to answer basic questions about assigned products.
- Provide technical support of hardware, systems, sub-systems and/or applications.
- Assist with navigating around application menus, may be required to remote into customer’s computer.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, working with remote employees on a corporate network.
Requirements
- Proficient with troubleshooting all Windows Operating systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve email issues, specifically MS Outlook.
- Excellent customer skills, with the ability to empathize and professionally troubleshoot and resolve customer’s issues.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must perform well as part of a team under direct supervision.
- Must have one of the following certifications: Network+, A+, or Security+.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- Previous computer technical support.
- Understanding of Active Directory to unlock and reset passwords.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of Service Desk software and hardware technologies.
Qualifications
This is an on-site position that requires an active SECRET clearance. The role also requires a current Comptia certification.

Benefits
Budget for this position in $40,000-50,000 per year based off the SCA wage for each area.
Pay
$40,000 - $50,000 per year
