About the role
The Help Desk Specialist will support a client located in Arizona. This is a fully ONSITE position requiring an active SECRET clearance. The annual budget for this position ranges from $40,000 to $50,000 based on the SCA wage for each area.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze information about the user’s issue to answer basic questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products.
- Determine the best way to resolve their problem.
- Supports the initial point of contact for technical support of hardware, systems, sub-systems and/or applications.
- Assists with navigating around application menus, may be required to remotely access customer's computer.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, working with remote employees on a corporate network.
Requirements
- Proficient with troubleshooting all Windows Operating systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve email issues, specifically MS Outlook.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Telephone and listening skills.
- Outstanding customer skills, with the ability to empathize and professionally troubleshoot and resolve customer’s issues.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must perform well as part of a team under direct supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communications
Qualifications
- Must have one of the following: Network+, A+ or Security+ Certification.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- Previous computer technical support.
- Understanding of Active Directory to unlock and reset passwords.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of Service Desk software and hardware technologies.
Skills
- Proficient with troubleshooting all Windows Operating systems.
