Help Desk Technician 1
About the role
Run Networks provides managed network support services in the Omaha and Lincoln area. Our goal is to manage networks efficiently and effectively through preventative maintenance while providing consistent help desk services to our clients. This candidate will be involved in support and daily maintenance of managed machines.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, monitoring of servers and other devices.
- Handle evening and weekend tasks as needed.
- Provide end user support via phone and on-site.
- Utilize and contribute to a library of automation scripts and procedures.
Requirements
- Motivated and willing to continue learning path as needed.
- Proficient with Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with network and applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Qualifications
- Good phone presence and first impression.
- Proficient with Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office.
- General knowledge of Windows Server systems.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP topologies, IP addresses, and troubleshooting methods.
Skills
- Knowledge of scripting, programming, and automation using IoT, no-code or low-code platforms, and AI.

Pay
Compensation is based on experience.
Schedule
Work hours are 40 per week with a paid on-call rotation every 8 weeks.
