About the role
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to join a non-profit organization in Flint, Michigan on a contract basis. This short-term assignment will support a high-volume data and document transfer effort, making it well-suited for someone who is methodical, technically capable, and comfortable with repetitive work that demands precision.
Responsibilities
- Extract, organize, and prepare historical files and data for transfer between business systems with a strong focus on completeness and accuracy.
- Review records carefully to ensure information is captured correctly and aligned with established project procedures.
- Work within multiple applications to locate, verify, and move documentation needed for the migration effort.
- Perform repetitive, process-based tasks efficiently while maintaining consistent quality across large volumes of work.
- Support phased migration activities by assisting with data handling for both the initial platform and the follow-on system.
- Identify and escalate discrepancies, missing information, or system-related issues that could affect project timelines or data integrity.
- Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting as needed while navigating desktop tools and business applications.
- Track assigned work and update service-related tasks or tickets to help maintain visibility into progress and outstanding items.
Requirements
- Experience in desktop support, help desk, or other IT support functions.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Windows 10 and related desktop environments.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and standard user support activities.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting across systems, applications, and end-user issues.
- Experience handling service desk tickets and managing tasks in a structured support environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to stay focused during repetitive, process-driven work.
- Comfort working across multiple systems and following defined procedures with minimal oversight.
