About the role
Singer Industrial is seeking an IT Support Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for technical assistance to customers and clients in a team-supported, in-office environment at our Sioux Falls, SD location. This role requires expertise in computer systems configuration, setup, and maintenance, along with a willingness to learn new systems and adapt to assigned duties. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to join our growing team.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the first contact for customers needing technical assistance via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Perform remote troubleshooting, with the possibility of on-site/in-person troubleshooting, using diagnostic techniques and asking pertinent questions based on the issue presented.
- Take ownership of your assigned queue and assist others with their queue load in a teamwork environment.
- Document detailed notes in the internal ticketing system for every user interaction or relevant issue-related information.
- Communicate effectively with teammates, management, and users needing assistance.
- Accept and contribute to projects, including software deployments and newly launched initiatives.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues.
- Provide basic internet troubleshooting, with the opportunity to advance to more complex troubleshooting techniques.
- Set up new users with access to the intranet, ERP, Office 365, and other systems.
- Offboard users by revoking access to the intranet, ERP, Office 365, and other systems.
- Assist in creating and updating documentation (SOPs, KB articles, procedures) and information repositories.
- Maintain security measures in an enterprise environment.
- Assist in swapping out notebooks, desktops, and network parts as needed.
- Monitor system performance for analytical purposes.
- Travel to other locations when required.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, cable runs, bending, crouching, and climbing.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with Windows 10, Windows 11, and Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook highly recommended).
- Ability to learn new systems and adapt to evolving duties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
