About the role
The role of Helicopter Pilot involves operating helicopters in various missions including search and rescue, medical evacuations, and training flights.
Responsibilities
- Operate helicopters safely and efficiently in diverse weather conditions and environments.
- Coordinate with ground crews and other pilots to ensure mission success.
- Provide emergency medical services during critical situations.
- Train new pilots and maintain proficiency through regular practice sessions.
Requirements
- Commercial pilot license with multi-engine helicopter certification.
- At least 1,500 hours of flight time, including 500 hours in helicopters.
- Current FAA medical certificate.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field.
- Experience in military or commercial aviation.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency in navigation and meteorology.
- Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
