Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair and replace damaged or worn parts
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on vehicles and equipment
  • Read and understand operating manuals, technical manuals, and technical drawings
  • Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical properties
  • Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges
  • Able to troubleshoot electrical faults and read trouble codes

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years verifiable work experience with diesel engines, or relative degree
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Excellent safety record
  • Follow all safety criteria and contribute to the safety program
  • Willing to work rotating shifts
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Knowledge in the fundamentals of welding
  • Successfully complete a skills assessment, pre-employment drug screen, physical, reference check and background check

Qualifications

Must have a High School Diploma or GED, 5 years verifiable work experience with diesel engines, or relative degree, minimum age of 18 years, excellent safety record, follow all safety criteria and contribute to the safety program, willing to work rotating shifts, good written and oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills, excellent attendance record, able to lift 50lbs, knowledge in the fundamentals of welding, and successfully complete a skills assessment, pre-employment drug screen, physical, reference check and background check.
