Heavy Equipment Shop Technician - Council Bluffs, IA

Job Summary

Duke Rentals is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic at their Council Bluffs, IA location. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining rental equipment, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and manufacturer standards.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and machinery - Operate a variety of aerial lift equipment and related tools - Service hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems - Perform preventative maintenance and inspections - Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA and manufacturer standards - Maintain service records and documentation - Coordinate repairs with shop supervisor and parts department - Operate company service vehicle safely

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent - Valid driver’s license with clean MVR - 3 years of experience in equipment repair or mechanical service - Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills - Ability to work independently and on a team

Physical Requirements

- Working in indoor and outdoor environments - Exposure to shop chemicals, grease, oils, and equipment noise - Lifting up to 100lbs occasionally - Climbing, kneeling, bending, & standing for extended periods
