Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist
About the role
The Mobile Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/diesel engines
- Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
- Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Valid US driver's license
- Minimum 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/diesel engine repairs
- Certification from a trade school is preferred
- Previous mining experience is a plus
- Bilingual is a plus
- A CDL and a clean driving record is a plus
Qualifications
This is a full-time position that regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface and/or underground mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.
