Job Summary
Pape’ Rents, a premier capital equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a skilled and driven Rental Field Technician to join our team. This position offers competitive compensation, exceptional benefits, and a strong work-life balance designed to support you and your family.
What You'll Do
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on aerial lifts, material handling, and construction equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of systems including electric forklift systems, LPG and diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, carburetors, electrical and air systems, final drives, clutches, and more.
- Communicate clearly with customers to ensure high-quality service is delivered on every visit.
- Work with the Parts Department to identify, order, and return parts as needed to complete each job efficiently and effectively.
What You Need
- Knowledge of JLG and Genie and other AWP Equipment with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with electronic and hydraulic repairs.
- Experience with diesel and gas engine repair.
- Experience working on John Deere equipment highly preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Self-motivation and Ability to work under little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Driver’s license with a good driving record. CDL preferred.
- Must provide own tools.
- Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 75lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights.
Compensation
$34.92-45/hr (Depending on Experience)
