$87,000 – $102,000 per year ($24–$28+ per hour, based on experience plus overtime).
Schedule
Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends. 55–60 hour weeks, day shift.

R360 Environmental Solutions, a Waste Connections company, is the nation’s leading environmental oilfield waste management provider. We are seeking a Heavy Equipment PM Mechanic for our Halfway Landfill Facility near Carlsbad, NM. This is a full-time, day-shift position with steady, year-round work and built-in overtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment/yellow iron.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
- Use onboard computer systems to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
- Complete work orders and documentation using fleet maintenance software.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site service calls.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on mechanic experience, preferably on heavy equipment/yellow iron.
- Must have your own tools.
- Basic computer skills for diagnostics and documentation.
- Commitment to safety practices and PPE usage.
