Heavy Equipment Operator

Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience Heavy Equipment Operator to join our GROWING team at our LP Gill Landfill in Lincoln, Nebraska. PAY: $22-$24 per hour Every hour after 40 is paid overtime. Monthly safety bonus rewarded for safe operating. Schedule Monday - Friday 6:00am-5:30pm and every other Saturday 6am-12pm. Duties And Responsibilities Spreading and compacting trash using a compactorSpreading daily cover using a DozerExcavating soil using an excavatorMaintaining haul roads using a graderHauling soil with an articulated dump truckWork in a fast paced, team environmentFollow safe operating practicesLearn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service Working Conditions And Physical Effort Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate. Minimum Job Requirements Valid drivers license.Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.2 years of experience preferred.
