Heavy Equipment Operator
Primary Responsibilities
- Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulic powered bucket or forks to lift and transport bulk material to and from storage or processing areas.
- Loads and unloads customer’s trucks/vehicles.
- Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader.
- Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
- Completes inspection report prior to using equipment.
- Performs & maintains general housekeeping.
- Responsible for customer & employee safety in and around work area.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years’ experience working Heavy Equipment
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be able to comfortably wear a respirator
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, procedures, correspondence, & memos
- Ability to speak and understand English
