Heavy Equipment Operator

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other machinery to perform tasks like grading, excavation, lifting, and material transportation
• Manage construction site activities by safely maneuvering equipment including Caterpillar machines, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks
• Conduct routine inspections on machinery to maintain optimal performance and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to execute site plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and project timelines
• Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites by moving materials and equipment as needed
• Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and operational logs for accountability

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active sites with a solid understanding of construction processes
• Mechanical knowledge sufficient to troubleshoot basic machinery issues quickly and safely
• Valid 2A license for operating large vehicles such as Loaders, excavators, skid steers and more
• Familiarity with various machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation in construction environments
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and precision
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
